Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 29, 2026
1. What We Use Today
Quizzer uses a small set of cookies and browser storage mechanisms to keep the application working, remember preferences, and measure product usage.
1.1 Essential authentication and security storage
- Authentication and session cookies used by Supabase auth flows.
- OTP session proof cookies used to protect sensitive authenticated routes and flows.
- Session state required for sign-in, sign-out, onboarding, and protected API access.
1.2 Preferences and local browser storage
- Theme and appearance preferences.
- Client-side state used to support product UX and session continuity.
- Analytics persistence in browser storage when PostHog is enabled.
1.3 Analytics and performance tooling
- PostHog may be used for product analytics when configured for the deployment.
- Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights may collect page and performance telemetry.
2. What This Policy Does Not Claim
- We do not currently present a separate in-product cookie preference center.
- We do not currently describe Google Analytics because the current codebase is configured around PostHog and Vercel tooling instead.
- We do not intentionally deploy traditional advertising or cross-site ad-targeting cookies as a core part of the current product.
- This policy only describes the current web platform, not mobile SDK behavior.
3. Do Not Track and Browser Controls
The browser PostHog client is configured to respect browser Do Not Track signals for client-side analytics. This does not currently disable server-side operational or product analytics events that may be generated after authenticated actions. Essential authentication and security cookies may still operate because they are required for account access and protected flows.
You can also manage cookies and browser storage through your browser settings by blocking cookies, clearing existing cookies, or clearing site storage. Doing so may sign you out or reset saved preferences.
